Ram Gopal Verma PPV formula, is it Workable?

Ram Gopal Varma, a promising director of our industry, who has always given us a bag full of entertainment throughout the years in cinema. He has entertained us with movies like Sarkar, Company, Bhoot, Satya etc. This director has always been experimenting in new genres of the cinema. He has came up with new genres in the industry, and, has always fullfilled the entertainment demand of his audiences. Thus had been a very successful director of Indian Cinema.

Even in this time of the pamdemic, the director is not missing any chances to accomplish the heights of success. He is now coming up with new ways of publicing the movies to maximum people. In this time of Covid-19, the theatres are shut and the movies are not releasing on big platforms like theatre complexes.  Therefore the big budget movies are not earning much views and hence less earning.

To cover this major loss of Industry, Ram Gopal Varma came up with a new formula of releasing movies called the PPV formula (Pay Per View). Pay per View is a form of web service where viewer can purchase the events to view it through a particular private telecast. The broadcastetr shows the event on a sacheduled time to the specific people who purchased the ticket to the event. This can help the directors to earn more profit from the movies.

The director started this PPV formula through his movie "Climax" released in June on his own digital streaming platform. Climax was a series which crossed the profit of earlier movies. Climax is an adult rated film. It was specifically booked on the price of Rs 100 per view. The movie was only available to the people on RGVs own platform on a paid price. The film was a good success, it gained a handsome profit.

Once again in the month of June, the director was all set to release another hit "Naked" on his digital streaming platform. Releasing the movie on digital media, he used all his social media in promotion of the movie. He was now impressed with his pay per view formula, that worked extremely well in this lockdown. The movie "Naked" was entirely shot on a phone. This time, RGV quoted Rs 200 to watch this bold film.

After the huge success of both his movies, he again released a movie "Thriller" in August. In thriller, the director also introduced a new heroine Apsara Rani through some tweets. The movie's trailer and posters were made very interesting, that most of the audiences were eager for this movie. RGV revealed the movie releasing date of thriller along with it's price to book, that  is, Rs. 200 per view. This way, RGV movies released with this PPV formula actually made more profit than the other movies. We also think that this formula can work very well on digital platforms, specially, in this pandemidc.

Ram Gopal Varama is now going to release his own biopic "Ramu" on his own digital streaming platform soon. The Director is already promoting the movie on social media platforms for initiating the bookings of the movie. The audiences are very excited to see the director's own biopic. The biopic will have three parts, each part will be of two hours and will show various ages of his life. The director's main focus will be on his "life in Mumbai". The first poster of the movie has been released in August. With the release of this poster , Ram Gopal Varma also informed his friends that the biopic will  be very controversial. He is continuously tweeting about his biopic and also seems to be very excited about "Ramu". Audiences are also eager to see the life of this huge director on Big Screen. Let's see if RGVs Pay per View formula goes well for him or not.
