No Crackers This Diwali

As Indians will wake up on Monday they will get a smoke-filled sky from a weekend of festival fireworks...New Delhi’s worst season for air pollution

If u scale seriousness of pollution on the day of Diwali its 10 out of 10.pets and domestic animals can't bear that sound and air pollution no need to mention it .the pollution from crackers can cause disease even to a healthy person.

Is it the only way to celebrate??

No, absolutely not, the celebration is not just about making loud noises and creating an abrupt environment. And especially when it causes huge damage to or environment.

People don't know the real meaning of celebrating festivals. festivals are a way to express your love and happiness. This celebration gives that person a reason to enjoy, to mingle and to live peaceful moments, away from stress and worries. Festivals mend the broken hearts and bind the relationship. People have a fresh start, leaving mistakes, worries behind, with new hope people, look forward to life. A meaningful celebration can fill a person's life with joy and love. So people should celebrate the Diwali for its real purpose not just to disturb the environment and surroundings

Pollution is bad no matter what the cause is. If we think that industries are polluting the environment and nobody is doing their part to stop the pollution than you should remember that every change comes when each and every person take initiative.
It only adds to the pollution. By that analogy you are saying that my bad deed is less bad than others' hence it's ok while celebrating Diwali, it's really ironic. We should play our little part to save the environment.
