She is the famous 'Golden Lady of India' who pioneered gold facial in India. Her expertise and knowledge have earned her the admiration of several big celebrities. More than that, thousands and thousands of young women and men have great regard for her enlightening advice. She is a great inspiration for hundreds of young aspirants who follow her path to make a name in the field of beauty care as her students.

When did you know a career in beauty was for you?

Many years ago in 1988, when she finally decided to take the plunge into the beauty industry, she received flak from her family. “I was a teacher by profession. But beauty was like my first love. It was growing in me day by day.  At that time there were limited career options in beauty”, she recalls. We can imagine Mrs. Bharti as a teenage girl, who had inborn sense of make-up and dressing. She never left any chance to experiment with her creative hand to enhance the beauty of her friends, mother, and other relatives in family or school functions.

According to Dr. Bharti Taneja, “At that time one could either run beauty parlors or become a professional dermatologist. Since my father wanted me to become a doctor, I started cosmetic clinics as a one-stop destination for skin-related issues. In this way, I managed to fulfill both of mine and my father's wishes.

What prompted you to launch your own makeover studios?

She says “When clients come to any beauty parlor or clinic, their basic aim and expectation is to look amazing and they want to enhance their beauty. Now, this cannot be achieved only by applying make-up. For the perfect makeover, it includes hairdos, costume color scheme, Saree, or Dupattadraping. This was the reason I thought of setting up a 'Makeover Studio'. This works like a magic wand and when clients leave the studio, they can't believe their own eyes; it does absolute makeover.”

Expert tips for models getting camera-ready?

When we talk about makeup for a photoshoot, it isn't about heavy coatings of foundation or overly bright colors. It's about understanding how and what the camera is going to see. It's about proper tone, accentuation, and shining from the inside out. With a little skill, you can coax the camera to see certain positive features of the face and to ignore the flaws. Clean, moisturized skin is the ideal palette to work on. The camera will pick up on dry or overly oily skin. Cleanse the skin, apply moisturizer, let the skin absorb it, then move on to primer. To start off on the undereye dark circle or eye marks apply color corrector to match to the skin then dott of face and neck with a base. Blend these dots out with Base Brush. You can also use a damp make-up sponge to help blend on your skin. While blending the foundation, the trick is to start from the center part of your face (nose) to the outer part of the face (cheeks). If you see any further skin imperfections, say for instance, in the under-eye area or a few spots, use a concealer on these specific areas. Finish by using a translucent powder or a compact on the face and neck, especially if the is only the camera will easily spot lines of demarcation. If you're concerned about the sun, pick a setting powder with SPF instead. Use light-diffusing foundations and concealers. Pick natural, matte shades. A little shimmery white or champagne eye shadow in the inner corners of your eyes will brighten and widen the eyes.

Choose a soft, fleshy shade for the cheeks. Use a little more than usual so that camera picks it up.

For the Transparent Makeup

On the EYES Pick non-shimmery colors in neutral shades for the lids. Go for Soft beige, soft brown, soft pink, or soft peach shades. Don't go darker on your eyebrows. It will age you and bring too much attention to them. But full eyebrows project youth and frame the eyes. Fill in with a colour that matches your natural brow color. But it is really high fashion make up also depending upon the need of time. Smokey is now a day & it makes the eyes really gap set & big can apply digital linears which are in vogue. Apply two sets of mascara or add artificial eyelashes wider the eyes

Mrs. Bharti's success secret is to stay calm and focused on the task at hand. The passion lies in the pursuit of excellence.
