Violence Can Never Be A Solution

A protest called by the students of Jamia Millia Islamia University in Delhi, against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) passed by the Narendra Modi government last week, took a violent turn on Sunday when police entered the university campus and lathi charge on the protesters. Protesters burnt the buses and vehicles and also threw stones on police.

The first thing is that it is not the way to protest and to prove your point. This will just make an unhealthy environment in the country. And the second thing is that without knowing facts nobody should be engaged in such protests. People who have actually read the Citizenship bill and who has understand it well know that this bill is not “Anti-Muslim” as rumors are spreading about this bill.

Some points that prove this bill is not discriminating against any specific religion or cast are :

1. This law is not Anti-muslim.

2. Law aims at providing citizenship to minorities such as Hindus, Sikhs, Christians, Parsis, Buddhists, Jains have run away from India’s neighboring countries Afghanistan, Pakistan and Bangladesh in the situation of danger to their religion.
3. Muslims are not included in the CAA as these three countries are Islamic states and in Islamic states, at least those who follow the religion of Islam are safe and do not face any religious persecution. Because the religion of that state is Islam. That's why this act did not benefit the Muslims.

Violence can never make the point proved.
A protest is never about being violent. If you want to make your point and want the government and authorities to understand this, it should be done without violence. We are living in a democratic country where people make the government and every citizen have their right to share their views. every voice is heard. If the government helped out its citizens with just one tweet than why would not the voice of so many students will be heard. But only if the way of doing protest is right. If the protesters become violent than the government also has to deal with them with the same attitude, If doing lathi charge on students is wrong, arresting them is wrong then burning the city, beating journalists and police personnel and abusing Hindus is right???

On the other side in news reporting, it was seen that when asked to some of the protesters in U.P. that why and for what they are protesting, the response was shocking. Some of them had not any answer and some of them were not sure what this bill is all about. With this lack of knowledge just following some unusual bunch of people is very harmful to the peace of the country.

Violence has never been a solution ever. It always makes the situation worse. If people really have the problem they should discuss it with the authority at the right platform not like this by harming the public property.
