Bargaining for traffic fines or for risking life

There’s literally panic among many vehicle/bike owners after impose of Motor Vehicle Bill 2019 which not only has the provision of strict regulation of traffic rules but also people have to pay heavy penalties for violation.

Many consider that such a huge fine is not justified. States like Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal, and Rajasthan opposed present vehicle act. The auto and taxi drivers of Delhi demanded to abort such heavy fines.





Every time we pass a traffic light and there’s a green light that is about to end, people have made a habit to accelerate the vehicle so that one can cross before the light turns red. And some Brave hearts are also there who jumps in the middle of the red light without thinking about how much damage it can cause to them and others. Sometimes people try to cross the road but as other side traffic starts moving especially bikers, severe accidents took place. nobody wants to wait and always remains in a hurry…. Result accident. People are ready to risk their life through accidents instead of waiting for a few seconds.





Everybody should follow all the traffic rules. Nothing is more important than your life.

Coming back to the high fines. What’s wrong with it? If you are following proper traffic rules and have all documents then why to worry about how much money police are charging as the traffic fine. People are driving vehicles and even bikes without having a driving license...without wearing safety instruments. Drunken driving is very common in any city.

A point must be noted that the traffic rule breaker when met with an accident, he’s not the only one who faced damage but also other innocent people. That’s why I think such heavy fines are justified. Those who demand to lower the fine amount indirectly say that they will keep on breaking the rules and are ready to pay the fine but in small amounts. People are demanding to lower the amount of fine.

Thus, such a heavy fine and strict rules are well justified. We can’t afford to lose a life on the road because of breaking the traffic rules. The present implemented fines are much less than the cost of human life. Those who think the fines are very high, better they should follow all the traffic rules so as not to pay any fine. They need to worry about the safety rules, not about the fines.
