why there's debate on standing for national anthem


"Why should I stand for the national anthem to show my nationalism???" 

 People are shouting it with pride, even running campaigns for this, media channels are manipulating this issue, a big headline on some news channels "freedom of expression is right for all, then why to insist people stand for the national anthem in movie theaters. What kind of freedom of expression are they talking about, this freedom of expression is a part of our constitution and this constitution exists because our nation exists..if we haven't a nation then which constitution we would follow??

 we live here..we eat here..we use all the possible resources of this country then why there's a second thought to stand for the national anthem? Then they say why the national anthem is being played in theaters, people are there for the entertainment purpose then why they are supposed to stand for the anthem. Like really??? Such kind of people sitting in their air-conditioned studios talking shit. They are sitting so carefree just because of the army that is protecting us, our soldiers who are standing there for us. Isn't it so inhuman if we don't stand just for 52 sec for our nation which our soldiers are protecting?
Isn't it unfortunate itself that we are debating we should stand or not for our national anthem?



This country has given us so much, don't be inhuman and selfish

In my opinion, even debating on this topic is disrespecting our country, our army and our soldier who are standing there for us at borders in such crucial situation whether its 50 degrees at Rajasthan borders or up to -50 degrees at siachin. If they can face such a situation just for the sake of their country then why we have a problem in standing for 52 sec. in an air-conditioned movie theater. we are behaving so selfish and inhuman that we can't stand even for 52 sec for them..is'nt it??? we have to accept that no nation is considered as a nation without its boundaries secured. Its the army that is serving us 24 hours. we are sleeping carefree and roaming around wherever we want. that is just because of our army which is protecting our borders. At least we should respect our national anthem for the sake of our soldier.



Media have to stop manipulating people

The media plays a vital role in a democratic country. Journalism is for the "voice of voiceless"- expressing opinions of all those in our country. It's like a bridge between the authorities and the people. Therefore it's their primary concern to make all the people of the country aware of their rights and not to misuse them against the country. Today journalism is a stigma in our country. Some media channel are manipulating people in such a way that they are trying to prove wrong as right in every possible way. They just want to gain the publicity anyhow. A good message should reach the people is not their business, their main concern is just publicity, they are making the situation worse.



Our constitution is such that every person has the freedom to speak his/her opinion about anything and anyhow, that "so-called" freedom of expression is being misused by the people and some media channels. India is a big democratic country, being such a big democracy there will be clashes in thoughts for sure. But don't you think that the nation should come above all? After all, because of this country, we are identified.
Media plays a big role in national progress, they have a huge responsibility on their shoulders. They should not misuse their position and should not misguide people.

People have to demand good journalism and not the fake one. Their love, their emotions for the country should not be affected by these stupid journalists who are demanding for "azadi" living in a country who has got its freedom 100 years before.

The national anthem is an idea to bring us all together and make us stand for our nation, it's not a compulsion

 A nation is an idea we all are agreed to. People living there can make it or break it, that is up to them. People are being divided in religion, in casts that is so horrifying for a nation. "unity is strength" we have heard it so many times, as much as we will be united our country will prosper.




This nation is implanted into a constitution and there are some symbols like the national anthem and national flag we have created is the idea to make each and every citizen to stand together for the nation. These symbols are binding us together. If we want a prosper. developed nation, shouldn't we show pride and faithfulness towards our nation by respecting these symbols.
People are saying that to show our nationalism we don't have to stand for the national anthem. My question is that what is a better idea you people have than the national anthem, to show your pride and love towards your nation???? give a single idea that will bring all the citizens of our nation country stand together for our nation. Why we hesitate to show our love towards our country.
